Tunstall Community Garden
Grow-iT
Is our village gardening group!
We meet at the Village Hall once a month on a Wednesday evening, to share ideas, tips, plants and seeds.
We also arrange visits to local gardens of interest, and have gardening demonstrations at our monthly sessions.

Grow-iT members can also take part in looking after the community garden and the appearance of the village in general - tasks completed have included the planting of 10,000 daffodil bulbs, and clearing weed and debris from the beck!

One challenge was to grow the largest fig gourd as pictured below! Competition was fierce!

In May we enjoyed a splendid talk and demonstration from David Edwards about Bonsai.

Apple Day in September saw us try apple pressing and identifying our apple varieties in the village.

In October we had a fantastic trip to the Himalayan Garden with a guided tour of the wonderful Autumn colours.
